Forgot saved password to Money 2007

This is a long story but I will make it brief. Computer crashed and when I re-installed Money I couldn't get the password to work. It is supposed to be the same as I use in Passport and Windows Live. I was on phone with techs for several days trying to get Money to open with various passwords; changed passwords, etc without success. Then I remembered the password I used when I first installed Money and viola!! it worked. I checked on remember password and it has worked fine since then.

Now I am doing my taxes and wanted to import info into the tax program but I keep getting "wrong password" message. I've tried all the possible one including the one I remembered without success.

Here's my question; is there anyway or anywhere on my computer that the password might be besides ********? I am almost 100% positive that I am remembering the old password correctly but apparently something is wrong. I don't want to uncheck remember password and try to manually put it in because if I am wrong, I will be sunk.

Any suggestions?

I downloaded this app but when I try to use it and click on Recover it tells me that no web page w/asterisks are open. This is not a web page I am working with - it is Money 2007 when I try to open the program. There were other apps at the web site of Asterisk but it only works with Money programs up to 2006.

Any other suggestions?
