I am having problem with my computers staying online when they go into a hibernation mode is there anyway i can prevent my computers from turning off the wireless connection so that they will stay connected all the time and not lose connection when the monitor or when the computer is idle over night because it causes big problems for me when they lose connection every night i have to go out and restart them all completely if anyone could help me on trying to figure out what i can do to stop the wireless connection from dropping over night it would be great

    Thank You

    HI

    Which Windows version you using?

But what you could try is to untick in the Wireless Network Connection Properties on the Power Managment tab the option to "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

well i'm using Win XP Pro on all them and i seemed to have been able to get it working right now i put a brand new wireless access point in and all 11 seem to be working right now. i had ended up putting local administrator accounts on each computer in order to auto connect after a loss connection or after standby. The funny thing is that when the monitor goes off it's still on it never went into standby that's turned off so is hibernation. could it be just from the network dropping idle computers?

Hi yes very likely and did you check and disable the setting I mentioned in the wireless network devices properties as if the PC is idle this will turn of the wireless netowrking capability and thus may not recover properly from standby or hibernation.

If you are using areal Hibernation mode the Wireless is switch off and there is nothing that you can do about it.

If it is Sleep/Standby mode. Take the network out of the Sleep mode and make sure that the Network card Power saving is Not checked.
