Anyone giving this a try? I've bookmarked it as one of My Favourites. Great if you want to swop from Google to e-Bay to Wikipedia, etc. Bazza

    Here you go Speculant.... http://www.sputtr.com/

Did try it Bazza, wasnt too impressed but can see that it could improve, tbh I now tend to want my searches narrowed down to specific topics as I hate having to search through the chaff to get what I want which is were search clustering comes in, specific search cluster engines sample http://clusty.com/ and for novel approach http://www.tafiti.com/

heheheh personally I like Ms Dewey

pretty cool, how do you find this stuff :D

I'm pretty satisfied with my search bar on yahoo, it even anticipates what your looking for before you finish typing.

I have no life Darlene, but do get sent these emails from msft on new stuff and Ms Dewey was created as a marketing campaign for live search.

Yes she is and her real name is Janina Gavankar.

But Bazza will love the attention this thread of his is getting and will kick himself for leaving out the URL LINKAGE to the search engine in 1st post ;)

I love search engines and this one Bazza suggested is now in my saved list of them, still trying to find a great one, Google is too full of junk entries now, search for a .dll and you have to wade through the neverending HJT logs to find out what this dll is actually from or does, HJT logs are a plague thats destroying search, just glad we dont allow inline logs, this aids searching of this forum, which is why I like Clustering Engines,

    Others of note are
    http://www.ditto.com/default.aspx for images
http://www.touchgraph.com/TGGoogleBrowser.html this oone is cool BUT doesnt work in Vista iirc as I cannot get it working, but did work in XP.

I used to use Copernic Agent a lot

It uses multiple search engines, but it's a standalone app and has lots of features and saves all your searches, so you can return to them later

The full version is commercial, but the basic edition is free

    http://www.copernic.com/en/products/agent/download.html

    .... works in Vista too

I was pretty excited to find the Search Engine, especially when PCU Mag #93, p70 said it was able to be customised. I thought I might be able to add all the Major Geeks forums, but unfortunately that does not appear to be the case (on further investigation). I didn't re-read my submission and left off the link.

I am busy at the moment trying to help out #2 son with his new Vista laptop and driving between 2 homes. Spending many hours in battles between Vista and computer saIesmen. 3 different Vista laptops in 4 days and we still didn't get the original one we decided on, but thats another thread. :D I'll use that as my excuse. Bazza
