Windows Installer keeps popping up

Didn't want to hijack somebody else's thread on this. Read a few others and followed your advice. WI runs every time I open IE. Did the Windows Installer update thing. No joy there. Ran Process Explorer when it popped up. Here's the command line on the msiexec file : C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe /V

When Installer finally quits, IE opens up a blank page with the words "Your computer is infected with spyware, yadayadayada. I know. I've been trying to kill that snake for a week now. Run BitDefender, Spybot, Ad-Aware and now AVG. Still don't know if I'm getting it all. The blank page thing is new. Have had problems with WI for months. Was just going to MSN homepage like normal though.

Windows XP Pro 5.1.2600 with all updates.

HELP!

 

I think you should be in the Malware Removal section.. and then post a new thread after you've followed the instructions everybody has to when malware comes up, right here
