So I am playing a mmo called Age of Conan and I keep getting these white, blue and yellow flashes every now and then when I turn.

Someone said my gpu may be overheating and to turn up my fan speed. Now it should be noted these graphical glitches happen from the start so not sure if it's overheating.

Anyways I have downloaded Ntune and see where the fan is but not sure where to put the slider...sorry never done this before.

    Thanks!

    Hi

Once you have Ntune or the Nvidia Control Panel open, click Adjust GPU Settings, then click Direct Settings and to start with raise the slider on the fan to 99/100% then if no graphical errors lower it by 10% each time and test stablity.

What are the reported temps of your GPU with Ntune?

But also some other info maybe helpful as in.........

    What Windows version?
What are your basic system specs, CPU, Ram and GFX card version?

Have you updated your graphic card drivers to lates ones?

    Thanks for responding.

It is running at 59 C right now. So do I slide it to the left or right? Is 59 C ok and that's the temp while not running the game. I have also updated drivers as well.

    Here is my rig:

    HP Pavilion
    XP
    2 Gigs of RAM
    7950 GT
    AMD Athlon 3400+

    Thanks!

To the right towards the + symbol will increase the fan speed and lower temp.

Not unheard of for them to go alot higher into the 80s but temperatures are always better lower, but this also depends on your cooling, tidyness of your PCs insides, cables tidy so that airflow can be maximised.

What are the likes of your CPU, Motherboard temperatures, also what is temperature of the room your in? can get first two from http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html install and once run click Computer > Sensor the room temp you'll know if its warm or not by ambient temp.

See what your temps are when you run the card with a higher fan speed and see if game is glitching as described.

Do you also have this issue of graphical anomalies in other games? if not check game developer for any updates.

Have you tried RivaTuner: top class program with fan and and overclocking settings plus more so it might be better for adjusting your fan speed
