Second day of Winter here. :-D

Found this neat Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion link at
    http://www.metric-conversions.org/temperature/celsius-to-fahrenheit.htm

You can print it out, but for you coldies it only prints from 32° F upwards.
But it will calculate from any figure. For an interesting output, type in -40°C in the converter. You could win money on that. ;)

Current temp is around 16°C, or 60°F, maximum this week up to 28°C, or 82°F :-D

Your top temp is our Minimum. :-D No wonder Cairns is being invaded by Tourists from Victoria (and settling here in droves).

Have to laugh when I see Victorian numberplates with the slogan "State on the move". Yeah, to Queensland. :-D and Cairns :-D

    Hey Bazza,

    Tuesday 3rd June
Are you getting any of that rain? Send us some, plz, pretty pls. Just for you our maximum temp today is supposed to get to 17°C / 62.6°F - woohoo :celebrate plenty of sunshine also. At 13:23 EST we are almost there.

Ya just gotta love those think tanks that decide what slogans go on your number plates don't ya? All our tax dollars hard at work - They use to be simply - Victoria, other slogans have been, The Garden State, The Place to Be. Perhaps you have noticed the age of most of the invading tourists? uhuh... ;)

paramonks, we are supposed to have rain today, but only a little bit. :cry
I think our major dam (Copperlode) is still overflowing the slipway and water is flowing out to sea. :(

Don't know why "they" can't build a pipeline from North Queensland to Brisbane dams. Sure it would be longer, expensive, but probably no more expensive (in current dollars) than the pipeline built early in last century, over 100 years ago, from Perth to Kalgoorlie (330 kilometres--200 miles approx). Pipeline technology and Engineering would have advanced lots in the time since then. Doesn't help you in Vic, though. :cry

The Coolgardie Goldfields Water Supply Scheme, is perhaps the world's longest water main. It connects Mundaring Weir, near Perth, Western Australia with the Mount Charlotte Reservoir, at Kalgoorlie. The pipeline indirectly serves towns further afield.

Check out the DVD "Constructing Australia" with 3 stories. Building the pipeline. Building the Sydney Harbour Bridge and constucting the Overland Telegraph line. ABC stores or Angus and Robertson have stocks.

Currently 76*F/24*C, Sunny and a little on the muggy side, but keep it coming.

Possible T-Storms coming in this evening, have to see if the Baseball game is cancelled.
(Edit): AUGGHH!!! I hope they don't cancel it, the Chiefs are only a half game behind Scranton-WilksBarre for first place. I'm not even a baseball fan, but I have to admit that I am pretty impressed with the way the chiefs have been playing this year. I start to wonder if the real grass field has anything to do with it :)
