    Well here we go.

I enjoy flying a flight sim online. About 6 to 8 weeks ago I began to have problems with the TeamSpeak software. I couldn't hear anything but static and the others couldn't hear me. I am on dial-up and I suspected it was a bandwidth problem. So I ran AVG and it did come up with a virus which it fixed. Problem didn't go away though. A couple of weeks later it got worse and by then the new AVG came out and I installed it and ran it. Nothing found. Then my flight sim gave up working all together. The GUI was fine but it would freeze when entering the sim. So I pulled the "exe" file out of my backup copy...but it still wouldn't work. Reinstall the whole thing....still had the exact same problem!

So I did your malware procedure. There where a few things fixed. I haven't reinstalled the flight sim yet. It still doesn't work. BTW I tried running the back up install as is and it too has the exact same freeze ......

So here are the logs....what do you think???

    Thanks in advance

And here is the forth log file:

BTW The step by step instructions are great and easy to follow.

    Thanks again

Well the good new is that your logs are clean. The bad news is that you will have to look elsewhere to find a solution to your problem. Perhaps as you suggested, you are having issues due to using dialup. You could try posting in the Game Forum.

Let's cleanup from running the READ & RUN ME!

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Now to continue our cleanup.
    1. You can uninstall SUPERAntiSpyware now.
    2. We recommed you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as a scanner. It uses no resources except a little disk space until you run a scan.
    3. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop & renamed it like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\cf" /u
        • Notes: The space between the cf" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\cf folder from combofix.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    8. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    9. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Well that IS good news :)

So my next question is with the "reg" file. Is the file supposed to contain the words "REGEDIT4" ?

As far as my flight sim and team speak do you think that one of those viruses could have been using some of my band width. I know I'm working with 36k and If I let the sim use what it wants TS wont work. But if I set the game to 33k all is fine. So if a virus is using even a little of that there goes TS.

    Thanks

Yes that has to be the first line.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. You don't have any infections. It just sounds to me like you have issues configuring your game and TeamSpeak. As I stated, this is an issue for the Game Forum. If your game uses all of the bandwidth, there is no bandwidth available to provide the channel required for TeamSpean.

    Problem solved !

I uninstalled AVG 8.0 and the flight sim runs like a champ. Keep in mind it would not even start with AVG 8.0 installed even though it was shut off.
