Hehehe, no shame in that Darlene. Yup, I like it. I guess it's the rhythm guitar that made it different for me. I've heard a lot of 50's music over the years so I can see what you mean. I'm a 60's boy.

 

My cousin (a few years older then me) , she was my hero, she got to say crap :-D used to take me with her to record shops, back the you could go into booths and listen to records before you bought them, and restaurants to listen, think I was 9 then. Got turned onto Lloyd Price, Johnny Otis. Then back home to San Francisco my mom had the radio on always, Ink Spots, Ella, Sachmoe got an early start

You're right muskie, can't find anything else on Alvin Lee's album. Brad, I wouldn't go by just hearing Motel Blues, only other I like is 'Smoking Rope', the rest is not Alvin Lee stuff IMHO. I'm quite disappointed by this one, but then again, my tastes are not yours.

I know you like the smoother blues MK. This one is your call unlike the above Jack Bruce/Trower I posted. :dancer but that's just me.

It is, but it's not his norm. It's like some of the stuff he has put out on some of his solo albums, which I didn't really care for but kind of grew on me.

Because ALVIN LEE RULES!!!
His worse is better than some others best. LOL

 

I can't argue with you there muskie. I guess I may hold him up to a higher standard than I do others. It's bought and paid for so I hope it grows on me.
