how do i connect pc to cable box for burning

i have a pioneer digital cable box.. it has usb, s-video and serial ports. i need to know what i need to connect the cable box to my pc so i can record from it to dvd. ...any help would be great

You "should" be able to connect via the s-video.

Fred_G's info was also correct, to copy it to a DVD you will also need a TV Capture card to suit your O.S.

What country are you based in? Here in Australia recording of cable TV is restricted by the PAY TV providers here. I used to watch "Lab with Leo" show - all his transcripts are still up and fully searchable, (in case your an Aussie, they discussed FOXTEL).

It is difficult to give definitive answers with the little information you provided.
