what kind of rechargeable batteries do you guys use for stuff? i've been putting off getting some for my wiimotes for a while, plus i think they'd be nice to have for other stuff like my wireless mouse, remote controls, the ps3 i'm planning to buy, etc..

i hear a lot about the eneloops, and some other smaller brands, but i'm siding with the duracell rechargeables (the precharged ones). they seem to be a good deal more widely available, more affordable, and i trust the brand. what do you guys use?

i have duracell rechargeables, and i have the slow charger. There's a 15 min. one (i think) but i just don't trust the longevity with all that heat it creates. so far i haven't had a problem. I did buy the better batteries than the ones that came with the charger tho, and i get quite a lot of time with it. One suggestion that i've read about rechargeables, is that if you have something that doesn't get used very often, don't use rechargeables, but if you use something frequently, rechargables are fine.

I absolutely LOVE these batteries.. I got them in the beginning of december and I think I only charged them 3 times so far (and I use my digital camera ALOT!!) and they were only like $15 for 4 batteries and the charger at Target ;)

I buy PureEnergy batteries. There doesn't seem to be a downside! They're cheap, and after 3-4 years of owning them, I have yet to have one quit on me.

I've got 2x 4-pack chargers (not sure the electricity consumption of those) and a 2-pack charger that consumes 4W A/C. All of my chargers can handle either double, or triple-A batteries, and they come packaged with a TON of each!

I use them in my Wii remotes, my Wii sensor bar (had to get a 3rd party replacement that needed them), flashlights, cameras, everything! I've got a TON of these batteries.

I use energizers, but it's like the smoking gun said,,
the slow charger is the best for the life of the battery
don't try to charge them right after using them, let them cool
same with using them after charging

I like the Duracells as well, they last just fine though I don't take that many pictures, last about a month unused in the camera.

the thing is, the pre-charged duracell rechargeables are slow-discharge NiMH batteries - i.e., you can charge 'em, store em, and you can come back to them later and they still have a good percentage of their charge. that's the upside with the duracell precharged.

I use these Tronic "cheap brand really." NI-MH 2500mAH AA size over here or penlights wicked batteries and I only pay £1.99 for four from a store called LIDL over here.

So can anyone beat 2500mAH in AA size?And/Or $1 per battery.

ah.. i don't trust the no-name brands. i feel like batteries are one of those things where it's smart to go with the reliable brand you know. i only get the off-brand stuff when i'm grocery shopping.

They are cheaper than duracell non rechargables and last 3 times as long,no complaints from me,I've used them for over a year now with no probs,I discharge them mostly then give them a 13 hour charge at 200mAH.
