Omg!

    I normally don't mention where I spend my money here, but I cant resist. My first car was a 73 Dodge Challenger and has lots of good and bad memories with it, so when I saw the new one, I ordered mine in February. 5 months later my tracking was just updated this morning meaning my car could be here in a little more then a week!!! OMG!

    That's one of the few remakes that does justice to the original. Very nice and congrats!!

    Does the new one still have that aggressive looking front grill? That's about the only thing I remember about it.

    It does, you cant miss it from the front, word from the 500 or so who have theirs already is that it really stands out.

    huge seem gaps in the doors and other panels make it look awful. I give it at 7.5 out of 10.

    did i read correctly somewhere that they don't have the manual 6 speed in this one yet, just the auto? but it will be available the next year? nice car btw, u get that color?

    08 is a limited run of 6400 only. 09 will be available in fall I think base price is about 24,000 with a V6, 4 speed. I think you have to get the V8 for a stick. Different colors as well. Yes, this year comes in Black, Silver and Hemi Orange, I had to have Hemi Orange :)

    very, very, very, NICE!!!!!

    that gives the GT500 Mustang, and the new Camaro a big run for the money. The 70 Challenger was always my top dream car, :cry I want ONE!!!!

    That's how all the headaches from this place seem worth it, eh MA?

    if I promise to post less, can I drive it :eek:

    LOL@toy car. I really felt that there was something wrong with that pic but couldn't put my finger on it.:-D Now the pics in the YT vid really makes it look like I remember as it was. Just for the heck of it as the Charger/Challenger and Chevelle all looked similar to me ATT, (I'm obviously not a car guy), here's a buddy's MOPAR Chevelle which has a similar mean looking front.

    What engine and power does it put out? ok I looked at link, 250bhp you speed freak.

    Wrong model, I have the 08 SRT\8 model with 425 horse. Probably put a blower on it next year for about 600-650 horsepower.

    Woooooo nice 450+ a porsche eatter, have you test drove it yet or before you bought? wouldnt mind knowing what the handling is like, firm, just right or too soft in corners.

    Personally I go for firm-ish, I know that the ride can be a bit more harsh but I like stability in corners as the UK has many corners and not many straight roads, guess our road builders where drunk.

    I would like to put an electric motor in it..and watch as it blows anything and everything away.. No sound, save an electric whine (so sweeet) and no gas to boot.. = totally awesome.

    @Halo Cant test drive them, the 6400 first run are all sold for and being built and delivered now. Can modify it later to suit my needs.

    @Kodo Electric motors rarely can hit same top speed, so they usually do fine off the line, then majorly fail at quarter mile and farther.

    Tesla Roadster does 0-60 in 3.9, most new high end sports cars beat that and its about as fast as you can do it. Of course at almost 100k, its in same price league with cars that accelerate faster. Of course once you hit 125 mph, its game over. Example:

    Still though, a well done electric car is a riot. My buddy had one and it was a blast.

    As for quiet, well, they are discussing laws to make electric cars be required to make some noise. No one sees or hears some of these cars and people are getting run over. Me, I am waiting for a hybrid that does not look like a peice of junk. Waiting for 2010:

    Of course as cars go, your not a car nut, so what your missing is that the gas mileage in a car like this is not relevant, its not a daily driver.

    yeah, but you can afford to have the cruiser.. so my POV is skewed by the relevancy of my lack of the ability to kick it with a spare muscle car :)

    ANYWAY!!! Come pick me up, you car slut.. I'll buy us some ice-cream, we can eat it in the car..lol!!! Jim gets to sit in the back.

    Damn us poor Aussies all we get down here are sensible family cars, even the Holden Monaro (our equivalent of a muscle car) looks so lame in comparison.

    I want one :drool, but I dont envy your fuel bill.

    I was disappointed with the new Charger, but I think they got it right with the Challenger. Looks great.

    I had a '73 Duster 340 Those were some hot cars back then.

    yeah, didnt let the dealer clean it, so i drove it 100 miles then cleaned it. Raing all day here, so good use of this time.
