yeah, I missed Netherlands and Italy and kept hearing these wild screamings from the café downstairs.

During the Germany / Poland game the announcer let drop that the last Polish goal against Germany was in 1980. :-D

 

Too bad I heard on the news that the Netherlands won by 3-0. Saw the game a few hours later. The vast majority of fans were dressed in orange to represent as being Dutch.

That was indeed a "score"

Next will be Spain - Russia!!

For the record: The European Cup (now called the Champions League) is for club teams and the European Championship for International sides

 

If that were the case, Holland would finish 2nd, because they haven't been able to withstand the pressure of trying to be #1 in the past. Of course, I hope that they will win!!

 

I know Holland are beating all and sundry just now, but as has often happened in previous major finals, the form team in the group stages, isn't the one that wins it There is always a first time though

It was a good game, and I was prodiguously proud of the Germans for keeping it to a 1-0 loss. Spain played great and kept the Germans were scrambling, but I've found this German team brought more heart to the game than any previous one and I'm glad they made it to the finals!
