I've often wondered, and sometimes aloud, when does your hand get wet? could you call it wet when it's in a bucket of water, or would you have to take it out to be called wet?

You mean 'what comes first? the chicken or the egg?' :-D

When you submerge your hand it becomes wet. If water was repelled by your hand, then maybe it would be after you take it out. Just my take.

To that, my answer is that Dinosaurs where laying eggs long before chickens where around. LOL kind of like the tow away signs being written in poor english.. "Vehicle will be towed at owners expense" implies that the sign owner is going to pay. I've seen it fought and won.

    LOL

You might be right, you're wet as soon as you put your hand in the bucket.. but people don't generally talk about how wet the pool is.. where if it's raining, you'll get wet..

I thought it would be an interesting talk..

    Thanks Laura.

the Egg, because eggs are for breakfast, chicken is for lunch/dinner, therefore, eggs come first :-D

@ paxton- I believe that your hand is wet in both instances, but what you have to ask yourself,,,,is the water now less wet:confused

    it's a zen kinda thing :p
