Recent slight changes to the Forum

    Not sure where this query belongs - presume someone will move it to the correct area.

    I have noticed some small changes to the forum. May I ask how one is supposed to contact a moderator about an issue that does not need to be broadcast on the forum if you are unable to use the PM system?

    If I missed the notice advising the changes that were made would someone kindly direct me there.

    PM one of these "bums" http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showgroups.php ( oh wait I'm on that list ) on any issues you have Ann, one of us will be willing to assist wherever we can.

    AH edit..... noticed that your under the 100 Posts to PM an issue ( not wake even after 4 coffees ), if its an issue with a Post or Thread then use the Report a Post "warning triangle" or you can email the owners tim or jim @majorgeeks.com if its something else or if needed I will give you my email address to the forum in a PM and you can by all means email me.

    Would love to fire one away to you, as it was to you I wish to speak. Regrettably :cry now I always get the message

    "Sorry , You Can't Send PM until You Have 100 Posts"

    Seems like you'll have to wait until I find another 50ish or so postings that I can maybe assist with and respond to.

    Should only take me about maybe a year or two. Can you wait that long? No really I love it here, I'm in for the long haul. :-D

    I accept the need to keep the spammers at bay and respect the owners choices at tackling this problem.

    Have been called many things before but never lumped in with the spammers LOL besides I too hate spam, truly roflmao

    There are few to no reasons a new member needs to PM. Our contact info is available from the front page.

    Examples -

    - Often times new members are inexperienced and start to PM members for help. This is a huge waste of time for volunteers who need to manage their posts and for others with the same problem.

    - Spammers. #1 reason. Were a large forum, hence we get lots of spammers. Now they can not PM others.

    I will update the text that tells you that you may not PM and update it with info as to why and links.

    Of course, now I am curious why you as a new member needed to PM, fill me in :)
