Firefox3 stays open in bg

Hello, I'm having to ctrl alt del kill Firefox after I close it.
I will open it and the tool bars and bookmarks are messed up, missing,
I look in processes and it shows Firefox still going even if it's been a min or a few hrs...it's kind of annoying. Any ideas?

 

i had a similar problem to this when i installed avg 8.0 when i ran the first scan and removed everything in the warnings section i had major problems with firefox 3 had to do a complete uninstall and reinstall remember to use ccleaner and scan for issues to completely remove firefox before reinstalling.firefox 3.0 is still a beta version maybe reverting back to a more stable version will help till they sort out all the bugs

hmmk, I'll check out the addons then.

 

I was lazy and did another clean uninstall and didn't add so many useless addons, before the safe mode check and FF is behaving again,
save that oh little unresolved security flaw. Thanks all for your input

 

eh, No FF makes a liar out of me, was all good then no stuck in processes again.
Onto Safe Mode then ...
