I've gone through some steps to remove this one in the past (spyware doctor) but it still appears to be rearing it's ugly head. I've rebooted in safe mode and have performed a hijack this scan. Could someone out there please have a look and advise? TIA, -jon

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions. If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

Thanks so much for the link. My computer's more hosed than I thought.
I ran through all the steps and I have a question. Spybot Search and Destroy did fine up to the point where I was required to remove threats. I clicked the 'fix' button and waited... About an hour later, it was still working. I decided to abort as I needed to shut down the computer but it left me wondering how long this step normally takes. I did have quite a few threats identified (29,000) but should it take this long to simply delete the files?

    Thanks again,
    -Jon

29000 is a lot of problems! I would be interested to know exactly what they were. Was this mostly cookies? Did you run CCleaner to clean all cookies from all user accounts. With that many problems it could take a very look time to remove all of them.

Please skip Spybot for now and finish the rest of the READ & RUN ME and attach the 4 requested logs.

I did use ccleaner which found heaps of cookies. Attached are 3 Super Antispyware logs. It took three passes to get to the end of the scan. Sorry they're all broken up. I'll proceed through the rest of the steps and post those logs soon too. Thanks again!

The instructions for SUPERAntiSpyware - running & getting a log asked you to uncheck the option for Scan for tracking cookies!! We don't care about things that are not problems which is why we ask for that to be unchecked. ;) Did you set all the options as requested? We also only want you to run the scans one time.

yea, sorry about that. I was experiencing some problems during the scan.

The real issue seems to be occurring when I run malwarebytes anti-malware. I'll appologize in advance for running this scan more than once however, I've been experiencing a problem at the very end of the removal process. At first, I thought it was an issue with disk space, so I removed some data, freed up space and ran again....same problem. I get 'runtime error '6', overflow'. There seems to be heaps of trojan's in one of my font directories. Although it didn't happen when I ran the scan most recently, I did receive a message regarding a 'ciciero (sp?)' program trying to close. This troubles me a bit as I didn't think I was running any applications. Hmmm? The attachment upload is failing. Shall I copy and paste?
    Thanks,
    -Jon

No! Just try again. I need the below logs requested in the READ & RUN ME before we can start to do anything:

    • Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
    • ComboFix
    • MGlogs.zip from running MGtools.exe
You can put the Malwarebytes and ComboFix logs inside of the MGlogs.zip file if that makes it easier for you to attach.
