I tried posting in another spot but didnt receive any responses. Hopefully someone here can help. I found a history search on my computer for child porn. My spouse said it was a mistake and he was just looking for teen porn over 18.
Obviously this is very disturbing to me and I need to make sure what he is doing and rule out the child porn. I tried to download a keylogger on my own but he is pretty computer savvy and we have zone alarm on the computer so he found it.
Does anyone know of a keylogger that is invisible and wont show up in the programs or toolbar.

Frankly, I think you have a far bigger issue than installing keyloggers. Personally, I would kick his rear for even wanting to find any kind of porn......he is opening the computer to viruses and opening your marriage to all kinds of issues.

Yea you may have more problems than needing a keylogger. Kiddie porn? That will get the feds and or cops at your door. Alot of thoes sites are set up just to track the sicko's. While I have never used it do hear lots of good things about this one.

Also if you have zone alarm. Install the key logger, Run Zone Alarm, tell it to "ignore" that keylogger it found.

You should continue to view the browser history folder and the index files. Use an index file viewer from here. If these have been deleted you can examine the names of the deleted files using an undeleter (also from here) or even undelete the files to your directory for examination. Ensure that when you install anything that it is only installed on the account that you use rather than all the acounts.

He does always delete history and temp. files. I looked at the link you sent for the computer forsenics but since I am pretty computer illiterate I couldnt make heads nor tails of it. If you have any other EASY suggestions I would appreciate it.
    Thanks

Not cheap, but completely invisible and full featured (and easy to use):

I bought the program awhile back, and it works wonderfully.

If you decide to purchase it though, do the stealth installation (but be sure to install the viewer as well, otherwise you can't see the logs). Also, make sure you use a strong password (here is a guide to creating one) and do NOT use the default keyboard shortcut to access the viewer (change it to something random, for instance shift+windows key+ctrl+Y).

I would agree with all the above statements. Also, as suggested, Spector Pro has gotten very good reviews at several websites (amazon and newegg).

My suggestion, being married, knowing what you must be going through mentally with this, would be to have a real conversation with your spouse, and tell him that you are feeling very uncomfortable with what you found and if it was truely a mistake, then he wouldn't mind having monitoring software that you could check just to make you feel better. If there really isn't anything he is doing, I would think he wouldn't mind. He may say he's mad you don't trust him, but you need to come back with the whole kiddie porn site thing.

Putting keylogger software secretly on his computer that he may find because you are not proficient with computers is probably Not a good idea. Particularly if it was really a mistake. Not that I'd be happy with any type of internet porn myself, but at least it's not illegal.

Thanks for the advice on the totalspy. I downloaded it and it was so simple to use. The problem is everytime I restart windows, windows defender keeps popping up a are you sure you want to run this program alert. I pushed the always ignore button twice but it still pops up. Zone alarm didnt find it but windows defender does so I had to delete it.
    Any other ideas?

To all other responses thanks for your time and input. While I fully agree with the fact that we have a serious problem here, when I try to talk to him about it he gets mad and says I dont trust him if I dont believe what he is telling me.Even if he agreed to having monitering software on the computer then I still couldnt be sure if he really isnt doing it or just stopped because he knew I was watching. We had a great relationship before I found this and I dont want to ruin a good relationship on doubt alone. On the other hand This stuff is scary and I have two daughters which scares me even more if he is doing it. Thats why I have to be completely sure!!!

Are the index files deleted as well? If not use an index file viewer. For example: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Index.dat_Suite_d4280.html

Also, try using an undeleter to view the contents of the directories where files were previously deleted. This will give you a list of files (e.g., cookies, images, etc.) some may have meaningful names. Alternatively, attempt to restore the files to a directory that you can manage for examination. http://majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=20#recoverp

If I download the index file retriever do I need to be on his user account to pull up his files? When i found the stuff before he changed his password so I cant access his account. The only time I have a chance to look at his stuff is when he logs on and then leaves the room for whatever reason, and then as I said his history is always deleted.
Thanks again for all your information.

The next time that bandit is out of town, - have a real pro ready to examine the PC. Hidden and deleted files can be found from deep within and then you'll know. It's not free but if you have children in the house this could be more serious...

You mention that you have Zone Alarm. Is it Internet Security? If yes,go to parentalcontrol and you can modify the way of what internet sites he visit. You can block certain sites to see and many other things.
    Good Luck!!!

PLUS,you can set a password so he can't go to Parental control to turn it off.

Windows doesn't detect hardware keyloggers (nor do most people) like Key katcher

Plug that booger in there and next time he leaves the PC unlocked your in.. it will have his password & everything he types stored in plain text.
