I've done the 'Read and Run' SOP...

Found these three viruses that I couldn't remove, and noticed about 2 weeks ago:
    Troj/Dloadr-BND
    Mal/ObfJS-AV
    Mal/generic-A

Also have a RUNDLL error that I get upon startup that never seems to go away, even after I've used CCleaner...Error loading C:\docume~1\ALLUSE~1\APPLIC~1\Kodak\EasyShareSetup\$REGIS~1\Registration_7.2.25.1.sxt

    MGlogs in next reply...

Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

Uninstall the below old versions of Sun Java:
    Java(TM) 6 Update 4

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - Startup: Microsoft Find Fast.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\FINDFAST.EXE
    O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe
    O4 - Global Startup: Forget Me Not.lnk = C:\Program Files\Broderbund\AG CreataCard\AGRemind.exe

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now delete the below file to address your error message with EasyShare.
    C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\EasyShare Registration RunOnce Task.job

    Now reboot your PC.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it.

    Then attach the below log:
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    It is still there.

I did all the steps in your post. The registry merge was successful as well. Here is the log:

What is still there? The Trojan? Where are you seeing it?

Sorry, yes the trojan is still there. I'm seeing it when I run Webroot Spy Sweeper.

Okay but I need to know exactly where. As in: what folder and file? Or in what registry key....etc. Attach a log from Spy Sweeper even though their logs are not very good.

Also are you using a paid version of Spy Sweeper?

I am using a paid version of spy sweeper. Attached is the log.

Could Spy Sweeper be seeing it in quarantined files?

Run Windows Explorer and locate the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\iehlpr32.dll file and Right click on it and select Properties and then select the Version tab (if it has one) then scroll thru the Item name list so we can see who it belongs to.

I find it rather strange that Spy Sweeper is calling this a trojan but it is not removing it. Are you telling it to ignore this? Or is it really failing to remove it.

It doesn't have a version, and looks like it was created about when I started seeing it on the scans. I have attached a screenprint of the properties.

You should really complain to WebRoot and even send them the file. Ask them why they are finding this C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\iehlpr32.dll file to be a trojan and not removing it. Unless as I asked earlier, you are not allowing it to remove it.

Yes you may be able to just delete the file yourself, but it would be better to know why a program you are paying for is not doing its job properly.

Thanks for your help. I deleted it myself, but also contacted Webroot with the log to get some answers. Thanks again.

    You're welcome.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. You can uninstall SUPERAntiSpyware now.
    2. We recommed you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as a scanner. It uses no resources except a little disk space until you run a scan.
    3. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop & renamed it like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combo-fix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combo-fix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combo-fix folder from combofix.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    8. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    9. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
