My latest toy

Mahogany body, flame maple cap, maple bolt on neck with ebony fretboard. Jumbo frets, standard Gibson style bridge and stoptail, custom pickups and strung up with .010's and the action slammed to the fretboard. In a new band and doing the rock/blues thing this time around instead of mostly blues based. Didn't have Les Paul style guitar and decided this would do the job nicely.

I know that the bolt on neck isn't going to sit to well with the Les Paul purists, but I don't care. I did it to prove you can get the same killer sustain and tone without having a set neck. And if it falls over and the headstock snaps off, which is common with this style guitar, i'll just whip up another one...

I don't have a recording setup at home yet. I know there is one in the studio, so I'll see if I can run a few tracks at the rehersals.

Wow, that's a sleek looking guitar. Ever since college it's a habit i wanted to pick up. One of my real good friends is a serious enthusiast, so I might have him sit me down for a few lessons.

That's nice. My friend lou plays the guitar. But I have been playing the drums for years.

 

From what I have heard and been told, it is good to start with an acoustic guitar. Anyways thats what I did.
