Stupid eBay

I lost 10 bids today! Ebay is SOO HARD! Any bidding tips?

That's the way the cookie crumbles. If you place your maximum bid at no more than you want to spend, there is always potential for someone else willing to spend more than you can afford. Happens in real life auctions as well.

 

I know an Ebay freak who swears by a program called Bidslayer. Some kind of bid sniping software. Google will tell you about it.

Sniping is the way to do ebay. EZsniper.com works for me. You pay a pittance for the snipes you win, and do not bid up or draw attention to the auction. Much obliged if you tell 'em perfectlytuned sent ya. I have gottten some great deals on pro espresso machines, I started to use it because folks used to shadow my bids.

 

I don't neccessarily have any tips. I think you just gotta be vigilant. Remember that the people that win the items usually bid within the last 15 minutes so you need to either pick products that end at odd times (usually during the workday or early on weekends) or watch the item as it comes down the wire. Doesn't help to hedge your bet by bidding up to the ceiling of which you're comfortable to pay. That way it'll be harder for people ot outbid you.

 

I've been burned many times in the last few seconds by sniping software. If it's something I cannot live without, then I'll raise my max bid as high as I can afford to go.

 

If you want something good on ebay or life, your going to expect to pay more then ten dollars. Good luck finding a decent hooker for under ten dollars...
