    Hi

With Windows Movie Maker you can create slideshows and add music to them http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/default.mspx ( if you have Windows Vista this is even easier as inbuilt is method to create and burn to DVD so that it can be played on any normal DVD player on a TV )

What Windows version do you have?

Are you willing to pay for software or want free options?

What method will you be playing this CD back on, would it be a PC or a TV via DVD player?

What burning software do you have installed as some allow creation of slideshows like Nero Vision or Roxio Slideshow.

    That's a fact!
I just put 460+ pictures of the Car and Bike shows I have been to during the last 2 summers, using Windows DVD Maker in Vista.
It turned out freakin' professional looking. :cool

(and I only wasted 2 DVD's learning to get things just so. ;)
(I didn't realize you could preview the whole thing before burning)

I also paid my Dad back for making me watch hours of slides, while growing up. :-D

Yup Muskie, did a few a while back for some collegues in work, they where amazed at how easy it was to create and edit, great software and is free for XP also, doesnt though have a built in DVD burner option so you'd need a 3rd party application to burn the file to DVD.

Picasa from Google is a free slideshow maker that allow you to add muic tracks.

I looked at a couple different apps, including Picasa and didn't find any that I could do what I was able to do with the Windows one. (for free anyway)
I have the pics moving and panning, plus page flips to change pics.
And adding music was easy, too.
Also, you can set the video to play the length of the music that you have added, instead of trying to get just the right amount of music added.
