nice phone, i have a pocket pc phone currently, and i like the slide keyboard, but the dual-slide sounds cool to, cause i hate using the touchscreen for dialing numbers...that phone is 3g capable, and to me, thats about all i look for in a newer phone. tho some of the reviews on the att site say the phone breaks easy? i guess they all do if you don't take care of them.

Yeah, I've had what other people have called "durable" phones before and they have sure enough broken within 6 months so I don't place a lot of faith in other people's writeups about the strength or lack there of in something like a phone. It looks like it's a pretty solid phone and there's certainly something to be said for having a device that can do many things like that one does.

I hope they get their heads out of their butts with this winmo 7 cause 5 & 6 sucked big time. And the funny thing is...it's simple common sense things that they are missing for some reason.

I have the Cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard) with windows mobile 5. I got it refurbished about 2 years ago for $49.99. I haven't had any real issues or complaints about it, only that it's a bit large/heavy, and some quirks with the touchscreen, but other than that, I've enjoyed it...it's nice to have wi-fi, and the ability to add software to it...

btw, i've use sbp pocket plus for a while now, and it makes the 'x' button actually close apps, among alot of other things.

Any thoughts on the Dare? I'm looking to get rid of my old kyocera and get something with more power and I really like the touch screen.

Anyone had one or know of someone who's had one?

Huh..... Sighnòmi dhèn katalavèno, milàte anglikà?

Mobile OSes are not brilliant yet, Symbian on the two phones I had with it where dog slow, not used Win Mobile OS apart from the derivitive thats in my car, its ok, voice commands are 70% accurate, Apples OS in the iPhone is not too bad but lacks features. Will get to play with whatever OS is powering the Samsung Tocco later this week.

Early days still for mobile OSes I feel and maybe in a few revisions or years down the line they will be no different to using a mini desktop/laptop OS.

A phone like that, I would expect now days to have at leasta 2.0MP camera, if not at least 3.2 now, and more expandable memory than 2gb.

Also I've never even heard of the brand. Your best bet is to try it out in a phone shop so you can get the feel for it etc.

Yup on availability http://www.nokiausa.com/A4546019 ( that price is likely for sim free and not on contract as its likely Free or Cheaper depending on contract taken )

Cool I have used an N70 for 2 years and even on that I get 2.0 MP camera, MP3, MP4, AVI player, Full browser, Google Earth,Edit MS Word and Excel Docs, MSN Messenger plus loads of other stuff

You can even call people on it :p

The N95 takes it to a different level though

It looks like a bad copy of the Samsung U600, but with a full qwerty keyboard and probably not as many features.

Depends on the charge plan your on with the provider. Have you checked the monthly plan your on and if PayNGo ( dunno what US term is for buy phoen and top up as and when you need... "Pre-paid" seems the term ) then likely a data package is definatly needed.

Just having a very quick glance at the AT&T Plans is that you'd need a Personal or Pre-Paid plan for voice and then a Data plan, but as I dont have a US Zip Code you'd need to check your areas plans and what you actually just paid $200 for in the contract?

  44. LI_Geek_95

    LI_Geek_95 Post-and-Run Geek

It's called pre-paid. No, i do get a bill, and a Zip code kinda close to me is 11735. 'bout 3 towns over
