    That's pretty cool, Darlene.
    Foolhardy and brave, too.
It's great the lion remembered them.
Especially, the way he ran up on them. They could have been lunch. LOL

I seen them interviewed on tv yesterday, they're middle aged men now, that was one question I did catch, If they were scared, not at all was their answer. I'm sorry I missed the whole interview. The lion was seen later with his offspring but nothing for years. Think it was made into a movie too.

    You had to say movie!
Now I have a song running through my head, "Born free, free as ......." LOL

I did not cry! My eyes just determined that my cheeks were not at the optimal moisture level. It has been hot here. :-D

I didn't cry for Christian, but
I did cry when old Yeller died.

Now see, that was a particullarly hot day when I first saw that movie...

I have a 14 or 15 year old Chow mix! The people at the vet call him old man Fred! I have a good idea on how this will end, just can't/won't watch movies about it.

I know what you mean, Fred. I have a 13 year old cat.
And I know that will be a wet day. :cry

Where the Red Fern Grows was a killer for the tear ducts for me.

Just between me, you, the brick wall, and the internet!!

Didn't cry, but was happy to see the positive ending. Being a dog person, I was kind of overwhelmed with the size of the big cat... bigger than my shepherd was.. and that's big.

I firmly believe that when we do something kind like that and accept an animal into our pack, no matter how big or small, they will remember it.

Nice to see that proved out..
