You do not have a SmitFraud infection.


If you are having malware problems, please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions. If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

Note: If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

Because Spybot calls many things SmitFraud that are not really SmitFraud. Many times it is just a stray registry entry that needs to be cleaned up and Spybot is incapable of doing the simple registry edit for some reason. Along with the below procedure, attach a log from Spybot when you run it at the point where it is requested. We do not ask for a log from Spybot in the READ & RUN ME since they are rarely of any use, but if it is still detecting something when you run it save the log to attach later.
