I tend to run virus scans every 2 days on every file in my computer, well this morning I found out that Norton 360 Found and Deleted "Infostealer.gampass", well anyways is this completely off my computer, or can it keep coming back? I play a few RPG games, and I use ALOT of Limewire on this computer, can it steal passwords? And is it even safe to log in to these games or email? Whats the best thing to protect me from having this happen? Sorry about all the questions Im just learning more and more about computers everyday, any help is VERY appreciated.

The affected areas turn out to be 2 Ozzy Osbourne songs that were messing up when I tried downloading them the other day.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Are you saying that everything is okay now??? Limewire does not steal passwords but malware that you get infected with due to using P2P or torrent downloads could. If you want to avoid problems, avoid P2P and torrent downloading.

If everything is not okay, please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run theREAD & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
