Why programs have changed for READ & RUN ME FIRST?

I remember using your guide "READ & RUN ME FIRST" a few years ago, back when the scanning consisted of Ad-Aware, Spybot, a couple online antivirus scanners, (and more recently) AVG.

I noticed that Ad-Aware, the online scanners, and AVG aren't used anymore, and the addition of two new programs I hadn't even heard of before:
    SUPERAntiSpyware
    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Since you guys use those two, I guess I should trust them!

But why the change? Do those old programs I use to trust like Ad-Aware, the online scanners or AVG just not cut it anymore?

Malware changes all the time, and tools and techniques to remove malware also have to change otherwise we would not be able to fix malware problems.

Ad-Aware outlived its usefulness long ago. And you appear to be out of touch with what has gone on with AVG. See this: http://free.avg.com/ww.download-avg-anti-spyware-and-anti-rootkit

I see. And so the epic, ever-continuing struggle against malware and malware creators continues...

Thanks for the reply, and I want to thank you all at MG's Malware Removal for what you guys have been doin'.
