Spam email that looks same--diff. sender

Hi there...I've been getting some spam mail the last week and I'm not sure where I went wrong. I have McAfee, I run superantispyware all the time, and I never use this email to sign up for things. I have another email I do for all that. Anyways, I keep getting the same format email. For example...it comes in like this.... In the From column it has Traci Pearson..and in the subject line, it says "From Traci Pearson." Mind you, it's always a different name, but the subject is always the same. Another example.... From :John Doe Subject: From John Doe. The emails are always about medical things...pharmaceuticals usually. I haven't inquired about anything of the sort. I have no viruses, and very minimal spyware. Anywhooooo...I block them, and bounce them, but I still get the same email but with a different name. I'm using Incredimal, and my ISP is wideopenwest. Any help would be much appreciated

Aside from changing email addresses, spam filter settings, or spam blocking programs, there really isn't much you can do. I know how you feel; I personally used to receive several hundred spam emails every week, and was simply forced to change my email address in the end.

 

I was afraid I would have to change my email. It's like changing a phone number you've had forever. Just don't want to have to do it. Thank you for your input--very appreciated

I think that's exactly how to describe it, let's just hope we don't start getting several hundred SPAM text messages on our phones every week in the near future. Hope to see you around the forums.

 

LOL amen' to that! It's a shame people have nothing better to do than to spam and send out viruses. Can't we all just get along :-D
