Hi i`m new to this but i`m just gonna cut to the chase.i have used a number of tools(on advice from Chaslang in this forum) to scan my pc and i have finally ended up with an mg-tools log file which i can`t do anything with. Will someone please analyse this for me and tell me what`s wrong with it and how to fix it.

My media control touch pad has frozen and i assume it`s because of viruses, one of which is called WdptWzd or something of that sort.My laptop is an Acer 8920g with windows vista home premium.PLEASE HELP!THANX

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

We need the other three logs that were requested in the Vista Cleaning Procedure. Please attach the logs from

    • SUPERAntiSpyware
    • Malwarebytes
    • ComboFix
But note if you are referring to the below process, then you are in the wrong forum as this is not malware. It is for your Acer PC.

    C:\Program Files\Acer\Acer Bio Protection\PdtWzd.exe

Thanks for the reply chaslang and you are spot on with that name.Despite that i still think my pc was infected because i have had some other suspicious behaviour apart from PdtWzd.exe.For that reason i think these logs might still be worth checking out,if you don`t mind. Will have to check with Acer i guess about my touchpad.
PdtWzd.exe was constantly being reported as having stopped working thus the reason i think it was viruses coz i ended up with a frozen touchpad.I dont know man,u are the expert lol. Here are the logs.thanx again

    You're welcome.

Now we need to cleanup some items from running ComboFix.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

Now it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommed you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significan amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix.
    3. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
