new tower

i have picked up a new tower (very cheap) that has not had an OS installed,it is pr -loaded with vista and has a 400gb hard drive plus a quad CPU.

is there any way i can run this in parallel with my existing tower thereby doubling the power i have available or would i have to run it as a separate unit, if so can i use just one screen?

The belkin looks like an option but what i was looking for is a way that i can utilise the computing power of both towers at the same time (a bit like stanford and folding)
