In common historic and modern usage, a hearth (Har-th) is a brick- or stone-lined fireplace or oven used for cooking and/or heating. Because of its nature, in historic times the hearth was considered an integral part of a home, often its central or most important feature: its Latin name is focus.[1] This concept has been generalized to refer to a homeplace or household, as in the terms "hearth and home" and "keep the home fires burning." In fireplace design, the hearth is often considered the visible elements of the fireplace, with emphasis upon the floor level extension of masonry associated with the fireplace mantel.
Thanks Wikipedia, ( I knew that but they say so much better than I could)

...all i'm saying is "let this be a lesson to you kids."

    1. think before you type. (you could end up looking like the joke you intended)
    2. there's always something to do when there's nothing to do. (being bored doesn't mean you can't be constructive)
    3. don't stay up passed your bedtime. (sleep is important and the results may not be pretty)
    4. yuengling and the interweb do not go hand in hand. (no excuse, but sounds good, so i'm going with it)
    5. just because you're out of school doesn't mean the learning is over. (i think i'm the only person that hasn't heard that word before. haha)

don't end up like me. google is your friend. see chaimjm's post, and Lev's link. they is smart.

    thank you and carry on.

hehe home and hearth stone. Classic. I thought everyone knew what a hearth was... back in days of yore it was the center point of the small home and the symbol of warmth. Hee hee. Times they do change, don't they?
