Children's Bedrooms: And adventure in re-decorating

My newest addition has promted a chinese fire drill in our home: Bedroom musical chairs.

But simply moving an older child into a bigger space is not enough! They require redecoration...

My Daughter has decided to paint her new room raspberry pink with one entire wall dedicated to a wallpaper mural depicting pink daisies. She will also have a LOUD pink/orange/other offending neon beadspread.

I will post pictures when it's done, just be sure to mute the computer first as they're bound to be LOUD.

How has everyone here whom has children decorated their children's room? Post pictures if you have them!

 

Sounds like 'fun' Wenchie!:-D Fred usually sleeps in the hall. Sometimes it is nice to be single. But you will have fun with the painting and such!

Take pictures. You can embarrass the heck out of them with them later on...:-D

My three daughters shared a room the two boys another. The girls one day decided it would be great to plaster the walls and closets with bumper stickers, glue pictures to anything that did not move. The youngest has been got married and moved out three years ago. The wall are back to normal but I still can’t get the closets right. What I am trying to say “raspberry pink and pink daisies. “ I’ll take it any time. Post the pics

 

That sounds like my dorm room... we had black light and faery posters covering every available inch of the wall, a mountain dew wall of used cans, and a shrine to easy cheese... hehe.

Huh. Most of my friends paint their room black with pictures of Criss Angel or some other scary goth or emo. Girls too.

 

See kids around here don't actually do that, unless they're into drugs, they just lie and say they do and never invite people over.

 

yeah.. its gonna blind me! But at least it will light the hallway... and the yard... and the neighbors... so we may all save on electricity!

I don't know why she wants it so loud... but Kahlyn is kind of a polar opposite. Where a nice pastel cool color would calm and balance us, it makes Kahlyn CRAZY and she tears rooms apart to make them Chaotic. I think a nice LOUD color that would make anyone else climb the walls may be enough to stimulate Kahlyn and calm her down.
