I have done the exact same thing. I can hit f8 and select safe mode but it still ends up at the log on screen. I got a new company laptop Friday and brought it home and was trying to connect to my home wireless. It connected fine but Internet Explorer still said page could not be displayed, even though in the bar at the bottom it showed me connected. I starte troubleshooting (huge mistake). I saw an option to delte domain and thought that must be the problem. Rebooted and now I have been trying for a day and a half to get back in. I called the help desk at work(in india) and they said I have to take it to the administrator Monday but I would like to fix it myself before then because I need it as soon as I get there. I just started a new job and have screwed the pooch already. I have tried all sorts of combos to log in as the administrator, no luck. I am in safe mose, it's in all 4 corners but still needs log on info. PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

Sorry about that. I thought about starting a new one and in a panic, just started typing. Anyway, like I said, when I boot to safe mode, It still comes to the logon screen. There is no drop down for a domain anymore though. I have tried my own logon info, which previously worked, in regular start up and afe. I understand now, they do not work because I deleted myself from the domain. I have tried safe, safe with networking, safe with command propmpt. Everything leads me to the log on scren. I have tried some generic, admin/admin, admin/ with no password. Severla other combos. I cannot get it.

 

That's what I figured. I thought I would give it a try on here. I have gotten some good advice in the past but this time I guess I did it to myself. It just pisses me off(at myself) because I wasn't trying to hack anything, just get it to work on my home network.

that's how I got to where I was too ... trying to fix internet issues (still haven't fixed that) ... anyhoo updated in my thread how I fixed my password. I am not sure if posting links are ok - but if not you can give me your email.

Thanks. I just cant reset the admiin password though or then I will be hacking the company pc. Somehow I need the admin password so I can get in an put myself back in the domain somehow.

 

I just responded where he had responded to me. I got an email saying I had a reply so I responded. I am done with my thread.
