side effects of Prednisolon

what are the side effects of using prednisolon regularly 20mg per day,
(prednisolon is used to reduce inflamation n vulnerable to infective deseases)

Being a doctor (albeit retired), I would not recommend you take predisone or any steroid for a lengthy period of time. It can produce some very unwanted side effects, scariest of which are bleeding stomach ulcers and steroid-incuded psychosis.
Talk it over with your doctor and pin him down on WHY he suggests that you take it daily.
Some auto-immune system diseases treatment regimens include steroids, but usually not for terribly long, unless they are life-threatening.

In med school we all memorized the following:
What 3 times do you use STEROIDS??? When the patient is gonna DIE, DIE, DIE.

They have some major drawbacks, but can be life-saving when really needed.

Am not trying to scare you, just trying to convice you to talk with your doc.

Prednisolone is used to treat many different conditions such as allergic disorders, skin conditions, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, or breathing disorders.

 

When I first was diagnosed with emphysema and was put on Predisone with pneumonia add in, it mad me feel awful, shake, cry, hungry. Taking it off and on through the years then getting off of it completely after lung surgery went through some of the same affects, withdraw. With me Predisone was a love hate kinda thing.
