Now that’s an incredible woman. It’s a shame that you rarely here about wonderful people like that. I bet Al Gore wasn’t among those fortunate children help by Irena Sendler.

Irena Sendlerowa was a brave woman of integrity and great compassion. Please don't taint her memory and the example she set for others by dragging politics into this.

I hope so. She certainly deserves it.

 

Just goes to show how much good can be done, even when surrounded by extreme evil. Never underestimate the power of the individual.

That’s true. But she is right to some degree. No sense turning this wonderful post into what she had to deal with to save the children.

 

Let me clarify: What she had to deal with was painful, and politics is an inevitable part of life. That being said, this particular woman did something unusually brave and unselfish, and deserves to be remembered for her courage and for the lives she saved, and not for anything else.
