IObits removal

I keep getting a update meesage for IObits, I don't know what it is.
I found it under programs in my hard drive, and it won't let me delete it.
Sorry I didn't know where to post this.

Iobit smart defrag? Do you see an entry for it in add and remove programs? if so have you tried uninstalling it this way, or is that where it gives you an error?

Start > all programs ....is there an entry for iobit there? if so you could try running it's uninstaller if the above doesnt work for you.

Let us know, as there are other ways we could go about this as well, just be clear about explaining to us what is happening. What OS are you using?

It is a program for defragmenting your hard drive - something we all need to do as regular maintenance. You can read more about the value of do this in a neat little guide here http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=106650

Just update the application as indicated and keep it for when you next need to performa a regular defrag of your hard drive.

I have vista home basic, on a pc.
It's not in add/remove programs in control panel.
It's not listed in start/all programs.
I can only find it when I go to computer, and open the hard drive folders.
It's listed IObits, then when I open that, Iobits defrag.
Neither one will let me delete it.
