It Ain't That Bad

A friend posted this elsewhere and I thought I'd share it with all of you. I am not religious at all and I think that this guy did it all on his own, no need to ascribe this to an ethereal being. God helps those that help themselves eh? I'm really moved by this, gave me a good kick in the butt!

Agreed I think he did it on his own,he talks of his parents needing faith in god to love him like a normal child,that should be unequivocal it shouldn't need any outside help.

Very moving, indeed. There is something about the human psyche that often feels the need to know 'why' something has or hasn't happened. Sometimes it's not important to know why, but given a set of circumstances, how one is going to deal with the situation at hand.

We're lucky that people with disabilities are treated on far more egalitarian terms than in previous decades. You can spend your life asking "why me", and feeling sorry for yourself and cheated, or just get on with living life as best you an.

 

He has a lot of faith and I am sure it was a big part of his handling of his situation. I found this video very inspiring. Many years ago I had a friend whose mother was born with only one arm I always admired her attitude towards life never heard a word of complaint from her. She also gave us a good trashing at tennis.

 

What an inspiration, what a special young man and a special family encouraging him on.
