well i started following the instructions and got to the windows xp part and tried to download superantispyware but when i try to start the download a window pop ups and says "corrupt installation detected, check source media or re-download". ive tried two majorgeek locations. i also just tried to download the spybot S&D and that too wouldnt finish due to a corrupt file.

Registry Mechanic is only a registry cleaner, this won't help with your current issues. Me personally, I don't care for registry cleaners for many reasons. If you are bound and determined to use a registry cleaner I would suggest RegSupreme which you can find on MG's.

Next, download and run ComboFix and MGTools.exe, once completed attach the logs they produce.

Also, after running ComboFix, try downloading a fresh copy of SAS and try installing it again.

i think these are the two logs. i am having a hard time finding the one from the mg so i put the whole folder on there. let me know if thats the right one.

Okay, have you tried downloading a fresh copy of SAS and trying once again to reinstall it?

Once the download is complete, rename it and then try to install it.

Okay, once you complete the scan attach the logs from MBAM and SAS so we can proceed.

Just because you are not having obvious problems does not mean you are clean. It's up to you but I would recommend proceeding. :)

Yes, that's one of the ones requested. Did you download, install and ran Malwarebytes AntiMalware? If so, please attach the log to your next post.
