SUPERAntiSpyware app won't run

I have been following the Removing Malware proceedure but got stuck.
I downloaded the free version of SAS onto a flash drive and loaded it onto the HD of the troubled computer but the program won't start. I get the blue Microsoft box that says: "SUPERAntispyware application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry, yada, yada."
I tried running it from the flash drive and I even erased it, made a new download but it still won't work. I'd try to download directly into the troubled computer but the website gets highjacked as soon as I go online. Any ideas?

Try running the MBAM first, sometimes this removes enough for you to be able to run SAS. Also, I would download a fresh copy, rename it and then try reinstalling it after you have ran MBAM.

Once you have completed all of the steps in the procedure, attach all of your logs and we can check them for you.

 

Create new folder?

In the Malware Removal Instructions there are several software packages to download with instructions NOT to load them into the "Docs and Settings" folder on the C: drive. So should you create a special folder or just load them without a specific folder?

You should read the instructions thoroughly as they explain how and why you should download and run tools and programs from the root of the C:\ drive.

The only one that you run from your desktop is ComboFix. Go back to the READ ME and see the procedure for your OS and attach the logs requested.

As I mentioned in my previous post, try running MBAM first and once that scan is complete try running SAS.
