    Hi,
I have a question about what I think is a great graphic program that I use and hate to give up, It's called Adobe Photo Deluxe 1.0 and I use it on my current computer running Windows XP. The problem is this program wont run on Vista and from what i found out there are no drivers for Vista. This program is so easy to use, all the tools are right there for you to use with out having to hunt around for them and it clones, erase's, prints, allows you to scan pictures to your adobe work desk top and make change's. Has anyone that has ever used the adobe photo deluxe 1.0 program found another program that will do the same thing as 1.0 but will work on Vista now that XP systems are getting harder to find.

    Thank you,
    Sal

I'm not sure I've ever used 1.0 but it sounds a lot like the Freeware version 3.2. Have you tried that? Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2

    Edit:
Sorry iwunderdownunder. We were posting at the same time...

Thanks for that information, i'll go there and see if theres something that I like but you know how it is when you find something that you like, you hate to have to be forced to go to something else but i guess all good things always have to come to an end right: cry

I'm pretty sure that the 3.2 version will be to your liking. I have used it for years since I got it on CD with the first printer I ever bought. It sounds just like you described above. Quick and simple without a bunch of hoops to jump through.

thanks for that information, I use Windows XP now but if I got another computer it would probably be running Vista, I wonder if 3.2 would run on Vista. This is what i use 1.0 for, I scan a clock face onto my photo shop work space then I erase the original numbers and print my own numbers and pictures on it. can 3.2 do that.

    Thanks,
    Sal

What about using Using Windows Vista Compatibility Mode to run Adobe Photo Deluxe 1.0? I haven't used Windows Vista Compatibility Mode but I understand your situation is exactly what it's designed for.

i've had to use compatibility mode for a few things, and you might be able to get that to work....it has worked for some other types of software that i use.

I appreciate aal the help that I've been receiving and i thank you all. I never about a Vista Compatibility Mode, that's pretty interesting, I'll have to jot that information down for future use, I'm still running Windows XP with Adobe 1.1 so it this time I'm still fine but when it comes time for me to upgradt to Vista I would still like to be able to use my program if I could but I've also been told that Adobe 3.2 might work as well as 1.0. I'll have to toss that information about Compatibility mode to some friends of mine to see of any of them have ever used it. Thanks one and all.
