New mobo, new PSU, bios won't kick in...

Weirdest thing: I had enough parts, new, and a few used, to build a new computer, so I did...and at first *zero*, nothing..so I checked all the pwr sources, even had a new PSU...nothing, no beeps, etc...so I went thru the whole set--up, and finally researted RAM...and, once again, that *seemed* to be the problem, it crancked up, and went into bios/cmos setup, all thatI plugged in 'time' etc...and then bios/post continued, but froze at "SATA identifys "someting"...and that was it...

So I turn it off, then back on...but it just won't go to bios, nothing...or at least nothing on terminal...and since then I've replaced and jiggled ram plenty...and still no POST that I can see...

Any help/ideas, would be appreciated...probably something stupid, but it's beyond me...

Try reseting the bios. Pull the jumper pin, power up, wait a few mins, power down, return jumper pin to original locaion, power up.

 

That sounds good, I'm going to try that--I've been gone all day--I think I got a little obsessed w/the ram, since that seemed to be the *initial* problem...and after the bios and cmos setup came on, and I set everything--It thought--correctly--but now no post, no nothing...

So I'll give that a shot...it's something basic, that's for sure, since I have unplugged everything, even HD and DVD, only thing in is ram, cpu, and monitor hookup...I'll see how that works...that cmos is set to clear, but whatever it is, I'll set it on the other two pins, see what's up...

Nah: that didn't work either...maybe I dinged something up...all I know is after I jiggled the ram, it began the bios, post, let me set cmos, everything...then sort of froze instead of booting...and I can't get nothing ever since...pisser...

ah well, something will reveal itself...maybe I take off miserable fan and cpu again...tho I doubt that is it...but I'm tired of swapping out ram...and already swapped out psu...and gone over little motherboard manual, make sure everything is plugged in right...

It cranks up, fan spinning...but no bios...sigh...have post-tester, or whatever they call those little cards u punch in a pci slot, and should show numbers for different componants...but all I get is FFFF, too, on there...
