I suggest a forum for Game discussion . I've noticed a few people giving their opinions and asking for strategy/walk-through help in the 'Games' forum, though not very many.

LauraR's suggestion for a non-PC tech forum sounds great :cool.

 

A forum for general gadgets? Yay!!

 

Is there also an update to the forums? Thought I saw a screen w/info flash that I don't remember seeing before after posting.

Gadgets would be nice, everyone likes them and easier to keep up on new tech stuff.

 

Photography tips?

To free up a bit of space in the lounge how about.

Sports Arena.. For all sport related topics.

Speaker's Corner.. For debate of newsworthy issues.

Just a thought

 

A forum specifically for hot button issues, such as politics. A forum I assist in running had to create one to keep them from over running other boards and topics. (We aren't so strict about topicality.)

 

Maybe one in the Support section for help using websites. Like, for example, if I didn't understand how to use gmail webmail, I could ask there.

Glad to hear it. And when I say not strict, it's a case of at least one topic changing subjects four times before ending up where it began. :-D

 

When you say less strict, I do hope you are not talking about really bad language because that is one of the real plus points of MGs,it's safe for kids.

I'm going to have to find a better way of photographing close up objects (like a shadow box) as my current expertise, digital camera and flash don't cut it. Anyone with link/s to close up photography using digital cameras? I'd really appreciate that. A Collectors Corner without photos won't be of much use.

I've just plugged in my SD card from my digital camera into my laptop and it doesn't even register so I've a long way to go. :-D Bazza

 

how about a super off topic section? where you could just post whatever you wanted to (forum rules would apply, obviously)

maybe it could be configured that posts in the super off topic section didnt count toward your total post count?

MA...how about a Music Forum...oftentimes we have threads going from music itself (linked to youtube sometimes) to discussion around instrument projects people have on the go, to bands that we've seen in concert.

 

Now why didn't I ever think of suggesting this?-D (I guess that's why they pay you the big bucks around here, eh Lev?) Perhaps making it a multimedia forum would make more sense by including all the entertainment that we enjoy. I enjoyed the music threads that we had going but they got really long and unless one participated in them on a regular basis, the threads would not be useful IMO. Rock on!:doodette.

Those jazz and blues threads were/are fun but it was mainly classics that were posted. I agree with Halo, new stuff would be nice as he's already given me some good leads and I'm sure the members have much more to share.

Like you said, as long as folks use it. Otherwise, then what's the point eh? I like the lounge just to shoot the bull without any serious thinking involved. That's why I really like the 'Hot Topics' forum, but then that's just me.

 

So if we stop posting in some areas, they will die off to archives only?

Or are you going to remove them entirely?

I've posted a couple of items, from my Collection, to get the Collectors Forum going. Please contribute photos and descriptions of any item submitted so this new Forum just doesn't die very quickly.
