Neat McA, is it a 2g or 3g one?

What do you think of the iPhone as in pluse's and minus's?

I think its good and for me the GPS mapping and 3G internet are good, however some glaring things are missing like ability to forward SMS! and copy and paste.

Gadgets are cool and one I find really good is MyRail Lite, not often I get the train, but this one shows times and delays!

Definitely the 3G, I think that's the only one you can buy new now - got it on contract with O2 :)
It's a great phone, had a go at jailbreaking it which was easy enough although with the app store there isn't really any benefit to doing that now.
There's some great things to install, got Facebook and eBay on as well as iPint, Lightsaber (amazing!), PocketGuitar, Audi A4, Nightstand, Units and Google Earth.
I like the fact that there's so many free ones too! Haven't looked at MyRail Lite yet but will have a look.

Disappointing about forwarding SMS but I've never really used that, lack of MMS isn't an issue as you can just use email, lack of bluetooth to send items is a disappoint too - hopefully Apple will fix that in a future firmware upgrade :)

Yes rare I use SMS these days, like you way way too easy to email instead, yes agreed lack of BT is a major faux pas from Apple!

I agree too many good free gadgets to download from the iStore, actually a good conversion thing is A2Z Pro as you can all new conversions for various topics as they are created

Chain mail. I would have bad luck
It would be harder to send pix
    i dont' use that anyway
That doesnt sound like a free firmware update.

Of course it could be, all firmware updates are free and if the technology is there then I'm sure they could quite easily enable it.

Also, many people over here (mainly students) use Bluetooth to send photos/videos to each other. It's a good way to share laughs.

Idk, I'd expect Nintendo to make the Wii DVD compatable first...

Nintendo and Apple are completely different companies so I can't begin to imagine why you'd link the two.
Also, drop the text speak and then I'll answer you :p

It's because I used to forget a lot of things on the forums, long story

Not really, iPhone has option to email pics built in to the menu, so really easy TBH.

Many of us do and its a great option to send data from one phone to another, I have my iPhone hooked to the built in Windows Mobile BT built into my car for phone and SMS.

One thing I do like about Apple is that they do offer updates free and last 2-3 of them have improved the phone bit by bit, the 3G reception for me is now much better and I get speeds of around 986-1688kb/s DL, not small updates either they are normally 200mb

@McA, talking of updates, do you think that they have crowded Safari by now adding the Google search box next to the address bar?

Also downside is its not easy to get your own ringtones onto it, not impossible but not as easy as other phones, do have a workaround for it tho.

Just had a look, it looks a little 'busy' yeh.
The ringtones isn't as much as an issue on a Mac, just cut down the mp3 in Garageband and change the file type to .m4r and then open in iTunes. Simple ;)

Should be very similar on a PC, use Audacity/similar, change file type then open in iTunes.

Yes very similar, too me a while to work it out but yes using Audacity and changing the file type to .m4r and popping the tunes into a Ringtoone folder then using iTunes add that folder to the Ringtone section to Sync works a treat.
