    Welcome to MG:major
What do you mean by added their Outlook email? Outlook isn't a provider, only a client. Do you mean put their address on it? EX. someone@example.com, because if they did, it is just coincidence. Completely unrelated.

Outlook is not an email address, it's an email client. In other words, it's software used to send and receive email. The email address would be based on the ISP, whether that's AOL or whatever.

Your topic title says "outlook express". Which email cleint is being used here, Outlook Express or Outlook? They are two diffferent things.

By the way, do you not know the difference between there and their? You repeatedly used the wrong one in your post.

I appologize for my grammer but if I wanted that judged I'd have gone to an English site! Did you get out of bed the wrong side??? So thanks for no info on the problem at all!

Hi there! I had a very similar problem with outlook express the other day. My husband uses outlook express for his mail for his website also. He was able to receive but not send. I found out that our ISP had blocked a specific port because my husband did a mass email to about 80 clients. Although he split the emails up into groups it still showed up as spamming to our ISP. Needless to say, that particular port was blocked and we had to use a different port (instructions from our ISP on how and what to do) Contact your ISP provider and give them your full error message and they should be able to help you.

I hope this helps and I hope I made sense :) Good luck! KathyM

Yes, you will need to talk to your ISP. Since you are receiving and cannot send mail. You would need the ISP's Out going mail SMTP.

You will have to launch OE >> Tools>> Accounts. Select your ISP >>properties and Server Tab. Cheers..

No, I didn't kow what you meant. To say, "using outlook as there email address", makes no sense. And, regarding Outlook Express vs Outlook, no, how would we know unless you clarify that. As I said, Outlook Express and Outlook are two different programs. Outlook comes with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). It's not uncommon to see people who aren't familiar with Outook to post a question about Outlook Express but just say Outlook to shorten their wording. And, I've even seen people say Outlook Express when they mean Outlook. If you want to abbreviate, just write OE instead of just writing outlook. That way, there's no confusion.

The menu structure for the two programs is different. So, the menu sequence for changing the smtp code, as suggested by previous posts, would be different for Outlook Express than for Outlook. I saw no point in trying to post a solution until you clarified these points.
