I need a portable a/c for my server room or some other way of keeping the room cool. its gets WAY too hot with the door closed so i have to keep the door open. anyone who is in the IT field knows what keeping a server room door open means. any ideas?

Yahoo weather, shows freezing Temps for Minneapolis!! Why not use exhaust fans, both pumping and extracting ie. if an open door is doing the trick.

well i wouldnt be venting outside man. my main server room is a 8x10 closet in my office area. i would need to vent through the ceiling out to a hallway or something. a portable a/c would have been great along with vents, but i cant find any.

If you have a Lowes, or Home Depot around you, try them. What ever they have left over they store until next season, so they just might have one.

already tried. home depot, menards, sears, didnt think of lowes, but they are all on discontinued until spring for their a/c

Ask your building engineer, he/she will know and get a good price too most likely, also does not have to vent out a window, building engineer should be able to vent it or tell you what would work.

im going to try what sikvik suggested. Ill probably install a vent through the door with fans and see how that works out.
