I wouldn't mind trying the Shiraz. Have only had one Australian wine before. I tend to buy the CA, French, German, or Spainish wines.

Interesting though, will look them up. :wine

Aussie wines have a good reputation. Main thing against them is the Freight charges, per case, to all other countries. :cry Bazza

CA wine to look for. I cracked this bottle open last night to go with some chile. Good stuff, typical CA Zinfandel. Pulled the cork out tonight... dang! Fruit bomb went off in my tin can!

Now what I mean by that is when you open a bottle of wine, pour a glass, and can smell fruit 5 feet away! I love those! Seems a bit rare for a Zin, but who knows. Anyway, if you can find it, get it and open it next year. I think you will like it.

I am getting a couple of these to store. Wow, getting close to a case in my little 'wine celler'. :-D

Actually, Aussie wines were basically hot a few years back and have slipped again. This is typical, certain regions are "hot" every year. At this time your looking to South Africa for the hot spot as well as a couple others you would not expect like Argentina.

Fred, yeah love California wines. I tried Vince Neils the other day and loved it. Apparently it is based off of EOS Vineyards, so looking into them as well.
