Accurate Shutdown software....?

Anyone else use this software?

I was looking for a utility to schedule re-boots at multiple specified time intervals each day and after going through several different programs, I found this one to work as I needed it to be set up.

It has a seven day trial with a "nag" pop-up. I have clicked through and went through the purchase to get a registration code. After being redirected to "RegSoft" site to make payment and successfully paying for the registration code..."which is susposed to be sent to me from the AccurateShutdown company".... I am still awaiting the code.
Has anyone else purchased this software and had problems getting the activation registration code? Did I get hosed?
I like the software "except the nag screen"! Any way to get around it?
It's really P****** me off.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you just use windows scheduler to automate reboots. There's no need to download software for tasks like this.

Here's the first link I got when I googled "schedule reboot xp". Seemed pretty easy to setup.

There are some of us who aren't able to figure out how to write a program alternatively or set it up to restart every 2 hours like I want it to, so we seek programs already written to do this.
Still doesn't address the fact of not receiving something I paid for. No wonder so many people try to find free and cracked programs.

Check your Spam or Bulk box in your email client to make sure the email wasn't marked incorrectly.

I did try the scheduler which I didn't know I could do, but I can only Schedule it to do one restart at a certain time each day. I need it to re-boot 2 hours after a start. Basically re-boot every 2 hours...or how much ever time I set it for, not just one time each day.

Hi sach2, yes...I have been checking that and it has not come through there either. I guess I'll just keep checking and waiting. Not a very good way of doing business in my opinion.

did you at least get a confirmation of payment from them? at least then you can show the software company that you paid for it.

 

Yes, I was given a confirmation with an order number and an order "tracking" number. I have contacted both RegSoft and Accurate inquiring about the registration code, but nothing yet from either. ????????

Guess I sit back and wait.

UPDATE:

After repeated e-mailings requesting the registration code and requests for a refund, I was finally sent the code. I do NOT recommend doing business with this company if that is the way they do business. They didn't even offer any discounts on a future purchase or a partial refund of this purchase.

That's the least I would have done for an unhappy customer.....!

Thanks for the update.

It looks like that Regsoft site is just a payment center type place. I guess anyone can sign up with them to handle credit card transactions. In the future I would attempt to read a sites "About" and "Customer Service/Support" links carefully before purchase. Read between the lines to see if there is a physical address/location, telephone number and recourse for refund if necessary.

I realize you were just happy to find software that fit your needs, but I would recommend being discerning before actually purchasing anything and making sure you are getting technical support for your money. Most dedicated software providers are interested in feedback to make their product better.
