Did comodo cause internet connectivity issues?

Im not even sure where to post this. I think it might be software related.

My OS is WinXP Media Center. don't know if it's important but I have a Dell Dimension E510.

I'm frustrated because nothing seems to go smoothly. I reformatted and was refitting my pc with anti virus and malware software. ( i chose avast! after reading recommendations on this forum. I also put spyware blaster and spybot search and destroy back on) I also decided to put in the comodo firewall (i tried online armor first but after installation, it wasn't working either...). During the installation, my computer locked up. The only way I could shut it down was a hard shut down by the power button. Before the freezing, i got a message saying my internet had limited to no connectivity. I'm just glad our laptop still has internet. So that means the problem is contained to the pc.

After starting again, it still could not connect to the internet. Trying to repair it didn't work. What should my next step be?

I thought about uninstalling comodo but i couldn't find the folder under start. There is a folder in the program files folder. Clicking on things (like the repair icon) did nothing. SO I doubt it installed properly. I thought about deleting the folder but I didn't want to do that right away. :/

Try using this application to uninstall Comodo http://majorgeeks.com/Revo_Uninstaller_d5706.html

Do NOT delete it my simply deleting the folder. Applications need to be properly uninstalled to remove all entries from the registry.

Once uninstalled, run a cleaner like CCLeaner and the registry cleaner within this applications. Reboot and then try re-installing Comodo.

    To Anyone who can help:
I'm having similar problems. I've installed Comodo Internet Suite (or whatever its called) which includes a firewall, av, & lots of other safety apps and tools. Looks good on paper, but once installed it breaks my Inet connectivity. Ive looked thru the help files for info about reconfiguring the app , but no joy! I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice now using Revo, and both times, same problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. What's funny is I had the same app on another machine and it worked just fine. I'm now running Win XP home sp3 on an HP D330
which has a Broadcom net adapter on the motherboard. The adapter didn't run at first, so I updated the driver and it works OK, just a little slow.

Please start your own thread Peterotooled. Hijacking another member's thread generally leads to confusion and disjointedness.

    Thanks for your understanding :)

Thanks, Lev. I just did that. Sorry to have hijacked. Wasn't my intention. I didn't realize that was what I was doing. My mistake!
