Question about Malwarebytes (free version)

I have a Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2, with AVG free 8 installed, without the linkscanner. I also have Spybot S & D 1.5.2 installed with no resident features running, and I'm reluctant to update this one. I generally don't use it.

I would, however, like a backup on demand spyware scanner of some sort, but on demand only.

I have been searching the internet, but I can find nothing to tell me whether or not Malwarebytes would automatically quarantine something it found on a scan, or if it would ask me before it performed any action. I want software that reports and asks me first before doing anything with a file.

So if anyone is using this software, I would appreciate it if you could tell me if this option is available. And if it plays nicely with AVG free 8 as well.

And just for the sake of interest, does anyone know if the pay-for version (which, as I understand, is running in the background all the time) is compatible with AVG free 8?

Both of the below provide on demand scanners and are two of the best available today. We use these two programs daily as they do a great job. The only downside is they do not offer real-time protection unless purchased however if you are looking for just an on demand scanner these two would be the best choice IMHO.
