    Hi!
    Another problem :)

    Motherboard: ASUS A8N5X
    Soundcard: None

Whenever I turn my volume up (to around 30% or higher) there is a hissing sound coming from my speakers. The higher I turn up the volume the higher it gets.
Its not a problem with my speakers cus when I use them with the stereo they work fine, and even if i plug in headphones to my computer I get the same hissing sound.

    Thanks :)

Was this a sudden problem or a gradually worsening problem? Have you recently made any change to sound drivers installed in your system?

If hardware failure, i.e. failure of your onboard sound, is the cause of this, then installing an add-on sound card to replace your onboard sound would be a solution to this problem.

Go into the Audio control panel, click the line-in and microphone and mute both.

Dunno if ive touched the drivers at all tbh.
    Not intentionally anyways.
Had this problem for a while, cant recall if it was sudden or not.

Helped a littlebit, now the hissing sound comes at around 70% instead, thanks :)
