if you know the admin password for the router, you could connect to your router by typing in the IP address of the router with Internet Explorer. After signing in, you should be able to find internet access restriction page and add your son's mac address.

Open your web browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address box. That should display a login panel where you need to enter a username and password. The username is probably admin if you've never changed it from the default username. However, this can vary by manufacturer. You may need to visit the manufacturer's website to search for info on the default username and password for your router.

For security reasons, changing the default password to something unique is advised.

Sorry, but I don't think I can help with the actual setup. My router is a D-Link. The control panels for various makes and models of routers can look quite different from one to another. Also, I've never actually tried the specific technique involved here.

Hopefully, someone else will drop in and be able to provide some detailed guidance. In the mean time, you might visit the manufacturers website again and browse their their FAQ and/or Knowledge Base areas, if they have such. I know D-Link and Linksys have a lot of info for users on their websites. I'm not very familiar with siemens .

Hi guys, Ok thanks for all your help,I'll look into it a bit more, Ive managed to gain access to the wireless settings in the router control panel from my desktop PC and switch off/on wireless connections from there although not ideal with do for the time being until I find out a bit more RE' Access restriction,Cheers,Bill.
